Mixed media candle holder and soldering madness

This weekend I was busy like a bee, working, working, working!!! Hehehe!
My dear friend Cristina Zinia at, has a new lovely site, where she and other wonderful artists share their passion for art. She has very interesting workshops, some of them for free. If you have a minute, take your cup of coffee or tea and go and have a look at her beautiful creations and you'll not be disappointed! She is a little magician, that's what she is, look at what she inspired me to make, after I watched "Zinia's spell bottle" video, one of her free workshops out there.

And some details here:

The candle holder's size is 5 3/4"x 3 3/4" and I used tissue paper, acrylics, inks, cotton bandage, collage paper, glitter, Stewart Gill fresco flakes, beads and lace. I have soldered the top and added some other soldered bits on which I put a copper patina and then I varnished the whole lot.
The text is stamped with Stazon ink and says: "whispers of the garden...".
Hope you'll like it!

Thanks for you visit!

Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon, lots of love,
Sanda xx
