Birthday wishes card and Guardian Angel finished work

Hi,

This week at Friday Sketchers http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/ the challenge sketch was offered by Jeanette from Canada.
Here is my entry.

I used 6"x6" red cardstock, designer paper from Graphic 45, stamps from Penny Black, Magnolia and SU, inks from SU, Spellbinders nestabilities, label punch from SU, flowers from Prima, ribbon and dazzling diamonds glitter from SU.

And now, I would like to share with all of you, my friends, my last mixed media titled Guardian Angel. I am really happy how it turned up.
And two close ups.

The size of the wood is 12"x15". I used acrylic paints( heavy body and fluid) and Neocolor II watersoluble crayons. For the texture on the wings I used tissue paper "melted" in glue and then I shaped it like feathers and painted over when it was dry. For the halo I worked the paint (mixed with a bit of Golden molding paste) with a palette knife to give more texture. I gilded then the wings and the halo using Perfect Pearls and Florentine Treasure Gold non-tarnishing wax gilt.
I stamped the house and heart in clay and then cut the shapes and painted them with acrylics. The swirls are printed in gesso with a stamp that I carved in lino.
Thank you for your visit and for all your beautiful, warm comments.
Hugs,
Sanda xx

Hi Sanda, love what you have created on your art. She is so beautiful, the heart is such a brilliant idea!
Some of my best art as come out of painting over another.
I own some of Jane DesRosiers art where a tree has been painted underneath and I can see the texture of it and like it more because it shows more depth on the top art.
The scanner I bought is from ebay and there is still one left 380125906795 if you type this number into the ebay.co.uk site you can have a look.
If you buy one they go way over the detail average computer can take. Scan in at 1200dpi is best. So maybe scanners at this dpi maybe ok? The scanner I bought A4 is a Canon Pimxa IP4600.
Hope I have written all this OK?
Let me know if you need any help?
All the best!
