Friends Forever

Hi,

Today has been a lovely day, here in Ireland, just warm and sunny, beautiful! Thank God, after so much rain!

I was browsing the net the other day when I've found the Friday Sketches challenge blog http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/. I just loved it, you know what I mean - inspiring sketches, fabulous DT cards and REALLY beautiful prizes!!! And, on top of this all, they have also a DT call for a GDT, so I started working immediately and here is my entry.
And, of course, I couldn't resist decorating the interior as well. I've stamped the back with my personal stamp.

I have used the sketch 48 from the blog for my card.
The patterned papers are from Making Memories and BoBunny. The stamps are Gorjuss Girls - Purrfect Friend, swirl from Stempelglede, text from Hero Arts and personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet. The flowers are Prima and roses from Papirloftet, Say it in pearls, Leone Em branch punch, metal from SU and Papirloftet, border punch from Fiskars, glimer mist, spellbinder dies and Cuttlebug embossing folder. The image is painted with Distress and SU inks. The interior text is printed on PC with Hanshand font.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Sanda

Sorry Wyanne

This post is to show you my last two mixed media paintings that I've made a while ago when I was doing a course with the tallented and wonderful american artist Wyanne Thomson. And to say sorry for not being able to post anything for so long on the Mixed Media with The Girls blog.

Thank you, Wyanne for everything!

The first canvas is called "Dreaming in the orchard" and I have used acrylic paints, watercolor pencils and crayons as well as collage. The canvas is sealed with natural bee's wax.
The second canvas is called "On a frosty morning" and I followed the same techniques and again I've finished it with a layer of bee's wax.

Have a great evening, see you soon,

Sanda

New blog, new challenge

Hi everyone,

This is my very first post and I thought I will start with a challenge. I've found a lovely sketch on http://aspoonfullofsugar.blogspot.com/ challenge blog and because, even if it's hard to believe considering the weather, the summer will come very soon, this is what I came up with.

And here is the inside of the card. Had great fun making this card.
See you soon,
Sanda
